I had a wonderful time photographing Nicole & Bruno's wedding last month. The gardens and houses at Palmdale Estates, tucked away in East Bay foothills, made for a gorgeous setting.
Needless to say, I'm catching up after a non-stop string of summer weddings! Wes & Laura were married at the lovely Forest Hill Clubhouse. Apparently this place used to only be available to neighborhood residents but they've recently opened it up to all. It's a neat old Tudor building tucked away on a residential street - it turned out to be a lovely venue for their intimate ceremony and reception. I really loved all of the little details in the decorations at the wedding, most of which Laura did herself, including the invitations.
I just found out that one of my images was selected to be included in Photoshelter's homepage slideshow, along with a sample of my website. Photoshelter represents a community of over 40,000 photographers so this is quite an honor!
Here's the image they picked - this was taken from a canoe on Cass Lake in Northern Minnesota on my birthday in June! I actually shot it with Dave's new Canon G10, which is an amazing little point & shoot with full manual controls.
And the full slideshow with some really great work is here (my image is #15 in the slideshow):
And finally, here's the image of my client website, which was also featured (click on "Featured" on the right and scroll down the page about half way) - click to enlarge for a better view.
Baby Riley was just 3 weeks old when I photographed her last week. She was a little unsure of all the camera clicking at first, but once she got comfortable, she was a perfect subject. She loved being curled up in the wicker basket I brought to the shoot and she even indulged Dad by posing with her hot pink lacrosse stick :)
This was a really fun party to celebrate the recent marriage of Elnaz & Joel. The 100+ degree weather kept us indoors for most of the day, but we did sneak outside for a few evening portraits when the light was just right.
I have been busy busy and falling behind on getting current work on this site ...2 weddings and 3 portrait sessions in the span of 1 week!
Anyway, this was a really fun family portrait session in Burlingame. I think the picture of the little girl on the swing is my new favorite among my children's portraits!
Last Friday I had the opportunity to photograph 3-week old baby Tyler. As it happens, he was born 3 weeks early - so I think it was just perfect timing for some intimate newborn portraiture. Here are few of my favorites:
